There are numerous pleasant vacation cottages to select from in Anglesey. The island, which is positioned off the coast of north-west Wales, makes a fantastic option for a self catering vacation as there are a huge quantity of things to do for all ages. There are numerous delightful beaches, an impressive castle, historical buildings, awe-inspiring scenery, outdoor pursuits and so much more.

Red Wharf Bay is a beautiful beach which is sandy with some cobbles. It has fantastic views over the bay and facilities including a caf and pub. Trearddur Bay is located near to Holyhead and is one of Angleseys most popular beaches. It is very popular with water sports enthusiasts and there are various facilities close by.
Beaumaris Castle is possibly one of the most impressive castles in the country and is certainly worth a visit. It was actually never completely completed as funds and materials ran out before it could be completed. It is open all year round and there are often special events held during the Spring and Summer.
Anglesey has numerous sites of historical interest. Archaeologists have exposed numerous sites that contain prehistoric artefacts such as pottery and tools.
The Menai Suspension Bridge was built by Thomas Telford and was in fact the worlds first iron suspension bridge.
There are more than six hundred and fifty miles of footpaths which pass through a range of different landscapes from sea cliffs to very old woodlands. There are walks to suit all abilities. A walking festival takes place every summer.
