 The world is a wonderful place. There are so many things to do and there are so many places to see. Off course, it is quite impossible to be able to visit all of the wonderful places but if you found one that is close to your heart, invest on a vacation home and enjoy the best that the place could offer. But what if you fell in love with more than one and dont have the money to invest on vacation homes on each place? This is where timeshare comes to play.

Timeshare are rental units that you can rent together with others and share the place during different schedules of the year. Normally, it has three to four parties that pays the rents which is used for payment of the property taxes, maintenance as well as other expenses that is needed for the home. The payments will be forwarded to the companies that own the timeshares. They are also the one who maintains the rental property.

The beauty of a timeshare is that you could join more than one company and have more choices when you plan to go on a vacation. If in case you had decided that this is the right investment for you, and joined a couple of company that owns properties in different vacation spots and parts of the world, the scheduling of time as when you will be using the property and for how long is important. Remember, this is because you are only a fractional owner and sharing the property with others. So whether you decide to use that schedule of time during this year or not, you will still have to pay it.

Finding a timeshare is easy; you could go online and look for one. But be very careful when doing this because some may post pictures of the real estate that they dont actually own. Thats why you have to exert extra effort to research on the company and the reputation of the company to make sure that they are legit. Check for experiences of others regarding the company and get to know as much information as you can before signing up with them. After all its your money that you are investing.

If you were able to find a house exchange that had caught your attention and feels like it is worth investing on, make sure that you read on the usage agreement. Since you are sharing the properties with others, some ground rules had to be made for the protection of all the shareholders. The usage agreement normally have all the rules and schedules on when the property is available, the fees for additional maintenance costs as well as the number of visitors that you can invite on vacation. Every company has different rules that are specially designed for the property.

Timeshare is a good investment if you value spending time and vacation with your family. After all leisure time and vacation are best spent with the people that you love.

Saving money on airplane tickets

 It is summer time and a lot of us are going to start looking at taking vacations. Even as most of the trips we go on are taken in the car, there are so many people who do not reside close enough to holiday locations to drive and now that cash is tight, it is more difficult to save money when vacationing.

Well, I say, do not dread airline costs. Right now vacations to Europe are actually economical, particularly if you live near an airport with direct flights.

Its not only abroad where you will find fine deals on airline tickets. You can in addition find good deals through the continental U.S. Something I found out recently is that Southwest flies straight to Orlando, Florida. I always check prices on Southwests website or JetBlues websites before I check the travel websites like Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz, or Travelocity. Southwest and JetBlue are characteristically cheaper and more friendly in my opinion than the airlines that you can discover on other travel websites.

The top way to save money on travel is to book well beforehand. I was checking prices on a trip that was set for a Wednesday and it increased 50% in two days (this was on one of the travel websites I talked about earlier and not Southwest or Jet Blue). In this case, the more in advance you are aware of that you are going, the better off your wallet will be.

You cant always rely on the travel websites also! You need to check with each distinct airline. Most of the time the fee is the same, so you have to ask yourself if you would rather book from a third party like Orbitz or go directly with the airline? I feel more protected booking through the airline for the reason that I feel like if anything were to go wrong, it would be easier to deal with the airline then through the third party site.

When booking your flight you in addition need to bear in mind which airlines charge fees for checked luggage. I know that Southwest and JetBlue do not charge fees for the first checked bag in coach class, but some airlines do. This was news to me when I had to book a flight and ended up taking U.S. Airways because of the nearness to the airport I was arriving at. All airlines charge fees for bags that weigh over 50 lbs and they typically have bag size requirements as well. So if you are vacationing with another person, you can save some money on the baggage fee, but make sure that you check your airlines site or call the airline to make sure that your bag fits in the restrictions!
