(Amusement parks) Australian ETA Visa vs eVisitor Visa
By dylan lautner
An Australian ETA visa or the Electronic Travel Authority is for people who want to make a short trip into Australia for holidays, tourism, recreation and informal studies. It is usually valid for up to 12 months from date of granting and allows the holder to stay up to three months per visit to Australia.
A similar Australian visa that is also very popular is the eVisitor visa. This allows the holder to travel to Australia for business or tourism purposes for up to three months. Tourism may mean holidays, recreation and seeing family and friends while business could mean attending conferences, negotiations or for an exploratory business visit.
The Australian ETA visa and the eVisitor visa works similarly, in that it is one of the most convenient ways to travel to Australia. Both the ETA visa and the eVisitor visa let you skip long lines and difficult visa processing, since you dont need to visit a departmental office to gain one. These are the few visa types that are entirely electronically stored. It can be accessed by airlines, travel agents and Australian border control and does not require a stamp or label on your passport.
It also follows similar usage rules. Both the ETA and the eVisitor visas are dependent on the passport you used when lodging the application. A separate eVisitor and ETA is required per family member traveling to Australia. These visas cannot be granted while the applicant is in Australia and cannot be extended for a longer period of stay in the country.
The Australian ETA visa is available to passport holders from over 30 countries, regions and locations including the following: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway. Portugal, Republic of San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA and Vatican City.
Meanwhile, the eVisitor visa is for passport holder from the European Union and a number of other European countries. These include the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Republic of San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Vatican City.

Irritable Bowel
A Functional Bowel Syndrome!
By Vijay Koragappa Shetty
IBS or irritable bowel syndrome is nothing but a functional bowel syndrome wherein you experience spastic bowel, irritable colon and spastic colon. When your bowels do not function properly such a condition is known as irritable bowel. However, it is not the same as inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis. Bowel problems may aggravate with medications, stress, treatments and other types of food. What is meant by the term, functional, is that either the muscles of the organs or the nerves that control the organs are not working normally. As a result, the organs do not function normally.
Women who have IBS will experience more frequent IBS symptoms if they are in their menstrual period cycle. It is suggested that small frequent meals are better than three big meals. Avoid highly acidic food, fatty food products, mayonnaise and cheese, chocolates, red meat etc. You can fall prey to IBS if you avoid eating healthy foods such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, grains and cereals.
Fibre rich food products can also help treat IBS. Soluble fibre treats both constipation and diarrhea. Apple, citrus fruit, beans, green leaf fibre, psyllium have soluble fibre in them. This gets dissolved in water and forms a gel like material. Psyllium supplements are available in the stores. On the other hand insoluble fibre treats constipation. It adds bulk to your stool by moving material through your digestive system. Wheat bran, vegetables and whole grain breads are useful insoluble fibre that helps treat IBS.
How to prevent such irritable condition?
Consume a varied healthy diet
Drink plenty of water.
Add soluble and insoluble fibre in your diet.
Avoid foods high in fat.
Try eating small meals a day rather than 3 big meals.
Combat your stress
Do not use laxatives often. They may weaken your intestines and make you get addicted to them. You may never have a normal bowel movement if you get addicted to laxatives.
Avoid Fat and caffeine food products. Alcoholic drinks and chocolates can also worsen the IBS condition and cause cramping in the abdomen. If you are suffering from irritable bowel, try and avoid these fatty products and eat healthy food consisting of both soluble and insoluble fibre. Research into functional disorders affecting the small intestine and colon (for example, IBS) is more difficult to conduct and there is less agreement among the research studies. Therefore the cause for IBS is still not clear.

Where to Enter Snowmobile Competitions
By Andrew Collins
Since their inception several decades ago, snowmobiles have improved for better safety and performance for more adventurous snowmobilers. When first manufactured, their basic purpose made traveling across snow-covered landscapes less of a chore that what it was. But as with every produce, snowmobiles have constantly been updated and improved upon as technology and snowmobile lovers have changed. Snowmobiles have been made to go faster and other accommodations have been made to make the sport of snowmobiling more exciting and interesting. As a result, snowmobile competitions have become one of the more popular spectator sports across North America.
The most popular snowmobile competition occurs at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado. In 1998, the Snocross event was added to the roster of the X Games. At the time, it was similar to the Motocross event in that it was a lengthy course with holes and jumps. The Snocross differs from Motocross in that it is held outside and the holes and big jumps are covered in snow. Snowmobilers will enjoy watching this event as current snowmobiles can gain speeds of 70 MPH in less than 4 seconds, making the Snocross event one of the most popular events at the Winter X Games. An added event for 2007 will also be exciting for enthusiasts. The Snowmobile Freestyle event will consist of 10 riders in the first-ever snowmobile freestyle course. Riders and spectators will undoubtedly marvel at the individual runs that include jumps ranging from 45-100 feet, enabling participants to come up with bigger and more awe-inspiring tricks. As an added benefit, the X Games have become a breeding ground for events that often make their way into the Olympics, so Snowmobile Freestyle may soon become an Olympic event.
In Michigan, spectators and sportsmen alike will enjoy watching any of the events that make up a full winter schedule of snowmobiling and snow-related sports. These events often take place at various Michigan county fairgrounds and other venues. Popular snowmobile locations in Michigan are often in Upper Peninsula region of the state in cities like Mackinac, St. Ignace, and Sault Ste. Marie. But there are also places in the Lower Peninsula where the winter weather is ideal for snowmobile enthusiasts, including Cadillac, Traverse City, and Gaylord.
Annual snowmobile regional races take place throughout the northern states. In Minnesota, spectators and enthusiasts will surely enjoy the Minnesota State Championship Series. In Wisconsin, the Northwoods Challenge is a respectable and exciting snowmobile racing event as is the Rock Maple Racing Regional in New Hampshire. Canada is no stranger to snowmobiling, either. The Ski-Doo Grand Prix de Valcourt in Valcourt, Quebec is one of the more recognized and popular events in North America, although Canada is the leader in the snowmobiling and winter sport industry.
Although the X Games provides the most popular venue for snowmobile competitions, every winter there are events occurring across North America in which snowmobilers and spectators can participate. The National Snowmobile Racing Association sponsors and sanctions many of these annual events and they are often broadcast on television so the less adventurous spectators can enjoy the events from the warmth and comforts of their own home. Thanks to the popularity of the X Games, the snowmobiling industry has attracted some of the world’s top athletes and a larger group of spectators. The sport of snowmobiling is one of the more exciting events to watch and there is no sign of its popularity fading anytime soon.
